With the release of ProgenyES v8.8, a new security permission was added to help administrators restrict the ability to upgrade databases in order to facilitate smoother software updates. This new feature is designed to be automatically assigned to administrative accounts during the initial software upgrade, however in some instances it may not be.

If you are an administrator and you attempt to open your database and receive a message stating that you do not have permission to upgrade the database, you may follow the steps below to assign the right.
