cannot open tribal directory

After the last update in Progency, the tribal directory will not open.
It gives a message that it cannot connect to the server.

Hello Freda,

The most common cause of the Pathways Directory not connecting to the server is if the Microsoft SQL Server service has been stopped, or is named differently than Pathways expects. The following FAQ post discusses this in detail (copy and paste it into your browser address bar).
